What is the format of Open Gym?

Open Gym is a pre-season offering from the Club in which attendance is optional and the goals are to be inclusive and fun!  Starting the last week of September, we have coach facilitators on hand to guide players in shaking off the rust, gelling with their friends, or preparing players interested in Travel try-outs.  Boys and girls have separate 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, and 7th-9th grade sessions, with one or two sessions typically available per for week for each group.  Runs for three weeks for 3rd-6th grade, and runs for seven weeks for 7th-9th grade groups, both ending the week before their respective Travel try-outs weeks.  Some additional details to be aware of:

Encouraged to bring own basketball (size guidelines posted below)

Do not enter gym before posted time

Sign-in/waiver form will be on-hand and must be filled in

HBHS Boys are NH Div. II Champions!
by posted 03/11/2018

The Hollis Brookline High School Boys Basketball team has won the Division II State Championship!  Congratulations to all of the players, coaches, and families - we are all very proud.

It is remarkable that just last Friday HB was celebrating the Girls' championship and now we have the Boys completing the sweep.  After a 2016-2017 season that finished at the semi-finals stage, the players and HB-alum Coach Cole Etten were determined to achieve even more.  Altogether, it was a 19-2 season (including 3-0 in the playoffs), where they earned the #1 seed along the way in running off 15 straight wins for the championship.

This is the seventh time that Hollis Brookline has made it to the finals, its fourth win, and first since 2005.

As shown in the scoreboard pic on the HBBC website, the final score at UNH this afternoon was Hollis Brookline 56 and Oyster River 40.

HBHS Girls are NH Div. II Champions!

The Hollis Brookline High School Girls Basketball team has won the Division II State Championship!  Congratulations to all of the players, coaches, and families - we are all so proud.

What makes this accomplishment even more special is that this team finished as runners-up last year and managed to make it all the way back, completing a remarkable 20-2 season (including 4-0 in the playoffs).  This is only the third time since 1970 that the school has made it to the Girls finals, and they've gone back-to-back.

On top of that, this group of amazing student-atheletes has actually made some HB history in being the first Girls Basketball team to win a State Championship - we can't wait to see that banner go up!

As shown in the attached image, the final score at SNHU tonight was Hollis Brookline 54 and John Stark 43.
